DOD, GCe, what else?

With the stat values going from 630 to 700 and soon to 770, the value of old stand-by memento farming instances is starting to fade. Sure, they are easier now - both DOD and GCe are soloable by many moderately well statted endgamers, and a good group pretty much runs them with almost no pausing. Still, the relatively low memento count is starting to hurt. Getting 420 for Tombs was not too bad. Getting 700 for the new stats is gonna be sucky.

So, what should people run? SCe and TOSHe are not good farms. They have relatively complicated mechanics, relatively long clears to 1st boss, and for neither instance 1st boss is fast and easy fight. KTe is not a cakewalk. I heard some people mem farm RT, but I dont see how relatively long instance like that makes a good farm.

Now, unless the new instance has uncomplicated and fast easy mode, we are stuck with DOD and GCe. And as much fun as running those 100 times in a row over and over and over and over can be, the charm is wearing off.

RT normal is the fastest mem farm currently in game with a good group, in my opinion. If you do RT normal non stop with no pauses at all you can get a run done in 8-10 minutes, which is 71 mementos. Even DoD is only like 23 mems in 5 minutes.

I agree with this. RT normal with a halfway decent group that can burn teh bosses can take less than 10-15 minutes. With a full endgame geared group less than 10 minutes is very much possible.

Granted that requires you to have a good group that can burn bosses with few or no buffs, a group that dosent randomly go afk between bosses, and who doesn't wipe (especially on pulling bolgus).

3.25 - 3.5 min DoD farms here.

I've also never cleared RT norm in a group within 8-10 mins.

You don't run with the high dps capacity players that are out there. An 8-10 min rt normal is easily done. Don't even need to wait for cooldowns.

Then you'll need 5 Saddakos and 1 Holyslayers.
Unfortunately, I fail at finding groups like that so I just stick to my tedious DoD farming.

This is why I am proposing that PvP matches reward mementos and/or shells. All of ya'll go to my Pvp match thread in suggestions and +1 it.

yea i imagine the 8:45 ch3 rt-diamond full clear is on youtube somewhere still...kanu's group was hauling arse Oo. still damn impressive. i dont think fire training was ever not on the party O.O

gce 1-4 farms are pretty quick with a few ppl hauling through. tosh is 270 for clear but between everyone AFKing and having to go shopping, have a family reunion and/or a tupperware party while moving from boss to boss....its not the most efficient little hellhole

Something tells me TOSH will never be a mem farm instance of choice, easy, normal or hard.

The idea of running with good group is all nice and fine, but good groups are rarely formable just like that; and if there is a good group, chances are that they want to farm stats and gear rather than mems.

What about RTE? My fail DPS toon can solo RTE first 3 bosses albeit with fair deal of risk, and I imagine even a moderately decent group can do 1-4, which avoids the bolgu issues. I wonder if that can make faster farms than DOD/GCe.

What about WA? Takes a little time to run there, but bosses are definately quickly burnable, and no trash mobs to run through. Just stand there, burn burn burn.

Yeah... slower than DOD definitely, and harder to do. Plus less mems. Lack of trash does not compensate for it, trash in DOD does not really slow people down anymore.

Just run RT easy today... don't think it makes for a good mem farm. :(

RT easy is less mems than RT norm i think. Just grab 4 decent dps with GCH or Tosh weapons and punch rt norm in the face. If you dont have that dps, do GCe or DOD. Your "best" mem farm will depend on what group you can get. Ive farmed RT plat with a tank, 5 dps, and no healer, but i know not every group can do that.

Quite a few less. It goes 4 on Yawaka, 4 on Shadoj, 4 on Paicha, then either 4 or 6 on Lijinda. At that point you have to be asking yourself why you are running instance that gives same mentos as DOD but has harder bosses and more trash to get through.

RT normal does seems to be the next one, but it is a rather large step up from DOD/GCE levels... the problem with decent DPS groups is that they don't tend to want to mem farm, they want to gear farm.

Farming RT plat... ummm.... not anytime soon. :)
