One option is to get mats. Start doing lumber, herb lore, and mining and with those mats. Refine the mats you get until they turn into the blue colored version (ex: Beetroop Sap) and sell those in stacks of 3. Believe it or not, some people still do their elites the old school way.

Another alternative is to farm life crystals, illusion crystals, and tough crystals in FA. Just find a group go on in. Oh and by the way, the hormone crystals in FA are a good 20k on the auction at least for Reni and there are multiples of them in the instance.

yes, for beginners, mats and pets are one of best things to do, dont look at the price 8k of the hunter traps, just buy 1-2 and look for cavies (they sometimes appear when you kill monsters), you might obtain some good pets from that, EX: get dark pet egg around lvl 25 and sell for around 200k gold or you may get blue rune pet eggs which at low lvl and high apt can go for over 1million gold, you almost never-ever get an egg that isnt worth 8k you spent on the hunter trap...

Source: my own experience, a week or two after i joined playing/at lvl 20 i already had 10million gold just from pet eggs i caught and sold... and i never had noone to help (i didnt look for anyone) i learned it the hard way (walking around looking at stuff, checking out ah)





o and one more thing, if you do try to do what ive said and go ahead hunting cavies, once one appears DONT RIGHT AWAY PLANT YOUR TRAP, first try maneuvering it into different directions to figure out how it all works (they run opposite direction of where you stand) and once you trained a little, plant your trap, countdown of 1 minute untill it dissappears starts, and try to get the cavy to run over the trap and viola its cought and you may click on it to get your reward

While making money is always valuable and useless, starting a guild is not. There are too many guilds started by lowbies who have no clue what they are doing. That is recipe for failure. Moreover, a lot of them put the money/resources toward castle construction, thus contributing even more.

I talked to many people who would swear up and down that they are different and their guild would make it. None of them did. And since inactive guilds are not cleared, all it does is clutter the guild list, in addition to wasting resources that newbies need.

If your level 20/15, just get your scout to 20, go to CoO, level to 50 and you should have a few 100K at the end of it.

Interestingly enough, simply by doing quests you can acquire quite a lot of gold.
And like Rusty already said, there are quite a lot of guilds out there already and I'm speaking generally for all servers.
People need to start merging into other guilds especially small guilds who only have 10 people active tops. There are grown guilds out there that are already developed and new ones simply add bad fish to the good bunch.

I'm new to forums but... there was a long moment when I was a little short on cash awhile back. Catching Cavys while questing made me roughly 1-400k (selling cavys not quests) a day if I caught them and sold them on the auction house.

A combination of doing quests, selling off or auctioning off items you do not need, and mat gathering will accumulate a lot of gold in no time. You could also solo-grind instances for gear to auction/sell.

My M/P would grind the windmill basement instance (was building a ventis archmage set at that time), sell off the yolta/ventis/hochim gear I don't need for 45000 each in auction, always had a buyer for them.
Got a million in no time.

Might do a couple of runs again if I need an easy 100k.

seem to remember the bats and spiders in Howling drop blend runes at a nice rate if your level isn't too high. i'd recommend creating an alt and keep it at level 10 to farm.

and on that same vein, how about leveling charge alts to make t5 stones (or t6 if you have access to the white 61 belts).
