...Game crashes on startup.

I just got Chapter V today.. I've been playing for months, but today, after downloading Chapter V, the game brings up a black screen, then crashes within a few seconds.

Anyway I can fix this?

My download stops on 5.0.0.2535. I have restarted the comp, shut off all network security, and have tried reinstalling the game. Nothing helps. Need some ideas please.

You can do two things. You can manually install the Chapter V patches (because the most likely reason you are having issues is a bad patch) and you can post a Dxdiag so we can see if your computer is up to Chapter V standards.

omg i cant log in to, and i'm raging because it took 3+ hours to download -.- I always get crash report

I've also been having problems with Rom too. Whenever i first went through the patches, I had this small window pop up after the patches saying "Access has been denied". The only option i could chose was "Ok" so i clicked it and it continued onto the next patch. It did that for every patch, and when i could finally get onto the game, i said that "my Client version was different from the servers".

I had no idea what to do, so i redownloaded RoM again and i'm still getting the "access denied" windows after every patch. I don't know what to do! It's working just fine on my laptop (which is many times worse than in the sense of performance than my main computer that RoM failed to work on). I don't know if the manual Downloads will do any different. I've also turned off my firewall but that seems to have done nothing.

Could someone PLEASE help me with this, i'll be very grateful if someone can.

Also, reinstalling the game fixed the issue! So, you can close this thread, as my issue has been resolved.
