Dwarf starting area quest glitch???

So just started playing and having a problem with a quest. 'Beware the outsiders,' or something along those lines. I have to go into the tunnel and look for clues. Then there's another quest that is now available, where I refuse to join the adventurer guys and I'm asked to open a chest. I know I'm meant to open it and then get attacked but whenever I try it says 'requirements not met.'

Any ideas folks???

Would really appreciate it.

Yea, you have to speak with the quest giver first and then you will be able to open the chest.

I've done that. He asks me to open the chest but then it won't let me.

The way it should work is that you get the quest. Quest description says to talk to the guy. Then you talk to the guy, and he tries to recruit you to Zurhidon. You refuse, at which point he tells you to open the chest. You open it, get jumped by Zurhidon agent, kill him. Then quest giver runs away and leaves his bag.

Did you try to open the chest before you talked with him? That is only thing I can think of that could go wrong.

Not sure. Just after talking to him no matter what it wouldn't let me open the chest. So I created a new character and it's worked fine. Just a weird glitch I guess.
