Can you divide up items?
I have 27 Vigor ll stones and I want to change them into Vigor lll stones but the Arcane Transmutor will only take sets of five. Is there ANY way for me to get them changed in the Transmutor?
Shift+Left click the runes and put the number of runes (2) in the dialogue box that appears, then hit confirm and place the 2 split runes into a new backpack slot. Then put your 25 runes in the transmutor to make 5 Vigor III's.

When you hit 40+ quests, you'll find mobs start dropping level III runes that you'll soon have more than you ever need.
Yes, do not waste your transmuter charges turning II's into III's.
