It's against the rules now to use the method with which everyone hid spell effects, so you won't find any help on these forums as to how you can.

There is an option in the video settings to Remove Player Effects that will hide effects for you.
Inferiority Complex - Original wearer of the Snow Combat Drum!
Mage/Priest on Erebos // Warrior/Rogue (and millions of alts) on Aurora & Agenor

That only removes other players effects, not your own. Since he is the battlemonk using the skill removing player effects won't help him.

Lol no you are stuck with that effect. My suggestion is just make a new character until that combination is tweaked, because it is too much of a hassle anyways to deal with it. No purpose suffering through the effect if you're going to have to suffer through the class as well.

If you decided to continue playing the battlemonk there is a level of patience you will have to have, with both the animations and the character itself. There are two other buffs the battlemonk gets that add visual effects to your character on top of the blue fighter. You get a golden ring that encompasses your character much like the wave armor, and you also get a red shimmering light that bursts outward from the chest area of your toon (looks like the effect from this weapon: http://www.runesdatabase.com/item/211649…e-artful-gusher, or the lights that follow wardens who have their Heart of the Oak buff active.)

Bluntly put: you will never enter a zone or instance without making a scene. Between the screaming noise, the blue fighter, the golden ring, and the red shimmering lights, you're bound to be noticed.

If the animation bothers you I'd consider rerolling. The battlemonk takes TONS of patience with the character (to learn how to play and to learn to ignore the animation and screaming noise evertime you enter a new zone), and time to gear/stat correctly (well as correctly as you can. There's only one cloth set that gives pattack, but there's multiple threads on why the battlemonk is gimp endgame.)Word of advice: The battlemonk, despite it's appearance, is not for beginner players. It's a great solo character, but getting it to fit in with end game characters can be a struggle and might take some researching on how to play it successfully.

Note: if you reroll, don't pick a m/k they have the same fighter icon over their head (except white).

No need to get snotty. Anyways, they fixed it so the effect is permanent, so it is staying this way. This combination and m/k both get permanent animations, and i believe there is another. Maybe try zooming out instead of complaining? You get 2 other perma-buffs with effects like the first one as a p/w, so you better get used to being a christmas tree.

I don't think anywhere in my post did i call you a beginner. I was saying that the battlemonk takes patience and is not friendly to those who want to just make the character and think they can endgame tweak it in a week and be good at it.

My point was that the animations are permanently imprinted with the buffs and that if it annoys you so much to have one, the three will drive you crazy.

P.S. Were you around since CH1 you should know that tampering with graphic removal is against the TOS. Just saying.

It wasn't until chapter 4, actually. They allowed it for a long time.

The point I believe that was being made was that if he had been around since chapter 1 he would know that the change occurred. Regardless of however long they may have allowed it, it is no longer allowed and that's the fact of the matter.
