Relationship leveling

Hi i just got married and was trying to level my reletionship but it didnt work? do the mobs u kill have to be wtihin some range of ur own lev. im 29 and was killing wolf cubs with spouse whos 34 ty in advance

You have to be within 10 levels of the mob, basically you have to be getting experience/talent points from the things you are killing. For example, you would need to be killing things that are level 24+ so that your spouse is getting TP/XP from the kill in order for it to level.
