More Impassable Mtns: Sasc Steppes to Dragonfang R

I'm in Sascilia Steppes cleaning up passed over quests, as part of my design to explore the whole game. A few of these quests lead to Dragonfang ridge - indeed, a handful of available quests "in this zone" show up as in Dragonfang ridge. Unfortunately I can't get there from here. As usual, there are mountains in the way. I found a cave entrance, with lots of quests available inside - but no route through. I don't see any other caves/tunnels, and I can't find anywhere where I can climb up/over the mountains. Is there a route through, or do I need to approach from a zone on a different border, perhaps Ystra Highlands?

[Obligatory whine - which game designer thinks playing find-the-route is fun, and what has s/he been smoking?]

You have to go through dogmar(last quest area of Sascillia Steppes) and the cyclops and zurhidon within. There is a path through dogmar to dragonfang ridge.

There is a part in Mispel Marsh where the mountains to the west seem to have a path leading upward that is wide enough to take a combine harvester. You can get over the mountains there if you prefer to avoid going through Dogamor, but the combine harvester will take considerable damage when it drops down. However, I recall from another post that even your lowest class puts you at a much higher level than the Mono-Optic Menaces so I figure you might have found the path by now.

When 2 zones are connected, the name of the other zones should show up on the map, thats usually where you can get to the other zone.

The name "dragonfang Ridge" should show up on the bottom of the Sas Steppes map, which is where the entrance to Dragonfang Ridge is at.

And there are roads drawn on the map. If you can't find the entrance near the name, follow the roads. There's a tiny road at the bottom of the Sas Steppes Map where it says "Dragonfang Ridge"

You are right that I'm over level for the area. I went west rather than south in Sascilia Steppes, and only just got curious about the south part - at 31/31/30.

So tonight I went via Dogamor, got to Lyk and opened the portal. End of problem, except that I should probably visit Ystra Highlands and unlock the portal I expect to find at Harf Trading post, to kind of complete my network. (And also because I'm bored with quests aimed at levels 16-21 ;-) I want to try out all the quests, so as to experience the whole game, but I keep leveling faster than I can do them all ;-)
