I was having the same problem a few weeks back. My ping would spike up, sometimes it would recover but often I would end up back on the login screen.

I did lots of malware, virus scanning, ran network diagnostics, rang my isp. In the end I downloaded & reinstalled the chapter 5 slim client & the game has been good ever since.

It's a lot of checking. Try www.speedtest.net to see if there's any delay between you and your ISP

if you have some point that is not responding, it's a route problem wich there's not much you can do, it's not really your fault neither RoM's but from your ISP that cannot handle the traffic or is doing traffic shapping. If this is happening to you you might consider that other games might have the same issue. I recently changed ISP due my connection to RoM were lost every 5 minutes more or less. If some technical people from your ISP can't solve this, consider changing ISPs, as we say in Brazil, internet isn't only about webpages and downloads.
