A Couple Simple Questions

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone could help me out with a few questions. Im a bit new and need some help understanding how things work.

1. Is it possible to transfer one of my characters to a different server? I have one on Reni, however I would like to join Artemis because it is more populated. So im trying to figure out if I can keep my character from Reni and not have to startover on Artemis.

2. What is the best overall class/secondary class? I want to be able to Solo Quest, Group Quest, PVP, and have a fun time. So im trying to decide what would be the best class for me.

Thanks for any help guys!

1. No

2. Depends on your play style. For example in time most everyone was R/S i found M/R more fun. Some good combos are R/S, P/S (mostly PvP), according to some topics Wd/R stated as mage, Wd/S or Wd/W...

1. No

2. Depends on your play style (Same as RoMage said above). The biggest question you want to answer is how do you like to play? Tank, DPS, or Healer?

Tank = Warden / Knight

DPS = Rogue / Scout / Mage / Warrior / Many others

Healer = Priest / Druid

There are many great combos out there for each main. I always enjoyed Mages so I decided to become a M/P which has always been fun with the AOE's and the Priest as a secondary allows me to heal myself which makes for great solo play. There are some classes that are specifically setup for pvp such as P/S or S/K and Rogues always seem to do well since they have "Hide".

P/W is so called battle monk. I never had alt that is P/W, so I can not tell you much about it, but just a small detail about your original question regarding soloing, priest is hard(er) to solo as it's elf counterpart (druid). P/W might be good combination, but I have not seen many in game.

Why are you leaving Reni? Do you really like to be on overcrowded server?

Again, it all depends on your game play.

I like ability to attack from distance, so M or S was good choice at the time.

I started with K, but later replaced it for P, because M and P can use same gear, and P with mage gear can kill quicker, but that is done for specific task.

Later I decided to have playable alts, one that plays close to enemy, so I tweeked some gear for R/S and made couple of alts.

The best thing is to make multiple toons, get them to L10, get secondary class and try.

One thing to remember, if you select human, do first couple quests in pioneer colony. in one of them you will get dagger (or wand - depending on class) and scroll to make it +8. This will make your beginners game experience much better.

Not a bad strategy (multiple toons to lvl 10, get secondary class), it gives you a chance to try various class combos and see if you like the play style.

You don't need to play a Human to get the early uber-weapon. Elves and Dwarves also have that same opportunity in their starting zones.

I know I want one of my classes to be a priest.

Do you think it would be better to have priest as my primary class or my secondary class?

Here are my main choices, please tell me what you think would be best for an overall fun experience:

P/S

M/P

P/W

P/M

P/R

"Primary" is misunderstood. It means the active class that you're playing, with all of the available skills for that class. "Secondary" means the second class, which only has that class' General skills available to it. There can also be a Tertiary (3rd) class, but it is always completely inactive.

M/P (or P/M) is always a good choice. I've never played a P/R or R/P, but there are a number of people who swear by it. On the other hand, there are a lot of people who swear *at* the P/S--especially in Siege. :D

From other threads, I'd recommend avoiding P/W, the Battlemonk. They're not easy to play from what I've read, and other class combos either do far more damage and may be more survivable.

M/P ALL THE WAY!!! Haha, not that I am bias or anything... M/P allows you to P/E well and lets you solo play well since you can heal yourself. If you make one let me know. I am on the RENI server and can dirty stat you a few items to make your trek to 60 easier (I believe lvl 60 is when you finally start clean stating and its worthless do to anything before).
