Runes of Magic US / AU

Hey Guys n Gals,
I'm a long time WoW player and overall MMO player but my base experience is with WOW. Lately I've been checking the different free games out there and found Gates of Andoran which is "meh" and I've found you guys too.

My Main concern is with the initial install/patching proocess. My internet is ahem "hacked" so I'm a bit limited to a somewhat nice wifi connection of about 300 kbps at the least.

The Question: How long does the patching process take? I've watched the two bars in the little client downloaded both reach 100 many times and then do nothing only to restart this process and watch it happen again. Does this indicate a problem? any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

The launcher progress bars are misleading because they only show you the progress to the next patch, not the progress to the current version.

Since the 5.0.0 client was released, there have been 9 patches and your game client needs to apply each one before you will be able to play.

Thanks for the quick response! I'm up and running now although I think I may have some connection issues. Whats the min bandwidth needed to play? Actually what are the min reqs as well as the recommended... I was looking around the forum but can't seem too find this info... if you can link me there that'd be great too... awesome game so far!!

I'm mid level with the graphics and the game runs fine as far as hardware is concerned it's the internet connect that I fear may become a problem. Had a couple random boots during these first 7-10 levels... nothing too bad but since I'm kinda limited to wifi I was curious on what the suggested bandwidth would be... and I'm not finding that anywhere either. I did find the min reqs but nothing on connection speeds. Again, I really appreciate your helping a noob like myself here. I'll be looking to repay you somehow in game... once I actually get to a point where I have stuff you might benefit from lol... anyways, lemme know and thanks for the 100th time!

Awesome... any reason for random boots that you know of? has it happened to you at all?
