quest help: reducing casualities to a minimum

as far as I have gathered you have to use the abilities given to you on the npc's surrounding the gate but no detailed instructions are given on how to use them. I've read comments on runes of magic support sites on what to do but can't do what it describe here. None of the abilities work. For example, issac aegis is to be used on non-player attacking team but there are no none player attacking team members other the the small party that circles the gardens. This ability doesnt show as done when used so it can't be them. Same with long term plan. Close your eyes brother doesnt work and the place of gathering souls doesnt work. None of these abilites work. what do you do to progress or complete quest ?

I believe you're talking about this quest: http://www.runesdatabase.com/quest/42403…o-a-minimum-but

For some odd reason, some people think they have to do this quest 6 times to proceed with Xaviera questline, no u just have to do once. If u see the guy's comment on the link above he's probably describing the possibilities of new skills you might get when doing this quest. When I've done this I hada to kill coopergardners.

Every time you take the quest you are given a random quest from a list of (idk) about 6 different quests. You really only know what to do by running your mouse over the new action bar that shows up and reading the button descriptions. Some are easy and some are near impossible, however, you cannot change the quest you are assigned by dropping and re-taking, the same quest will appear until you complete that one.

This is all part of the "waiting game" quest line. The interesting thing is that you yourself do not have to do these Phiksi Yates quests as long as someone is doing them, so if you are stuck on a particular quest, you could perhaps convince someone else to take a quest and you can help them. As long as about 6 of these quests are completed you can look for the zone message that 'the barrier has weakened' and continue on with the quest line.

Oh, and note that this is a group quest, and they are not kidding. If you go in by yourself you will most likely not complete the quest.....and you only get the one shot (unless you are lucky enough to get in on someone elses quest). Having done this three times on different characters, my recommendation is to put this one off till you are at least level 60 and have some gear. Oh, and if you die in the final battle do not res out, there is a chance the NPC's will complete and you still get credit lying on the floor, whereas, if you res out, you are not getting back in.

I just completed this series yesterday and got inside to do Battle the Sorceress.

Most of the quests can be done solo. The only one that requires a group is the Ogest quest and that can be gotten around by finding someone else on another version of the quest and using skills to get credit as they complete objectives.

I will list some of the various tricks I used to complete versions of this quests:

1 - Destroy 10 orbs - just run in, target orb, use skill, and leave - the disciples ignore you when you do this

2 - Rust the Gardener - get him in a fight with the adventurers and then cast the water spell 4 times on him - they have the aggro and you are safe

3 - Moss the Gardener - cast the shield and then cast the moss several times - recast shield as needed

4 - Cast healing/battle buffs - forget those, and use the 3rd one to kill adventurers when their life goes below 10% - easiest to do if you get a gardener to chase you into them, they aggro him and you just wait to use spell

5 - Battle Ogest - get another player with a different version of this quest and use the leeching skill - cast on plyer and when they get credit, you get credit as well - no need to try to battle Ogest

thanks for the replies. I didn't know there was a random quest and now it makes much more sense with what to do on each random quest.
