mana stone help

I am very hesitant to buy mana stones off ah for my first semi ok set of wings. I have seen two types mana stones with stamina and mana stones with maximum hp. Which are better to get? I want to say stamina are better because it can buff easier then maximum hp but then maybe not. Do the maximum hp mana stones actually increase your health more then the ones with stamina?

For Mana Stones with the equivalent stats, the HP stat will give more HP than a Stam stat but you won't gain the PDef or HPregen that the Stam provides.

You should be hesitant, statting your wings would not be a good thing to mess up. One thing is of course to make sure the mana stones you do buy are all the same tier. Another would be that since you probably plan to wear those wings for a long time, get teh best available stats you can get, even if it means delaying your completion. Note that you do not have to stat all 6 at once, you can do it in two groups of 3.

Your question about Stamina versus HP is more convoluted than you might think. One thing is that the stats that are optimum for you depend on your class. Stamina is really good for a knight because he gets bonuses for stamina, however, other classes may benefit more from straight HP. however, again, going back to my first statement, depending on your class you may not want either. A mage for instance is looking for intelligence and Magic attack, a rogue dexterity and physical attack, and so on. There are many threads on optimal statting schemes if you go look in the class specific forums.

If you need to know what any particular stat does for your class, I believe there is a write up in the RoM wiki on that subject.

I'll third it. Wings are not something to experiment with until you understand what you are doing when it comes to statting. And the advice you got from both gentlemen above is darn good.

The only thing I want to add is that Stam is usually preferred over HP. Reason for it is two-fold; first, stam gives you things besides HP as Inferiority mentioned. But the second reason is that for many lines of stats (although, I think, not all of them), the 20% bonus to your attributes that you get from hero potion will make HP gain from stamina to be greater than straight HP. Other similar buffs (like warlock's Sublimation Weave that gives you 6% attribute increase) also favor stamina over HP.

Still, for temporary statting, HP is good. It is usually cheaper and when you are not going to be using the buffs and potions, more beneficial.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.
