The training range hasn't been activated yet, though the NPC was placed into the game. Just a tad bit early, methinks.

Announcement said this morning's maintenance activated it, but I didn't have a chance to try it out this morning. I was too busy harvesting level 75 boss bodies :).

Has anybody tried it out yet?

It is kinda tower-defense like. They release a field of mobs moving to goal line. Shooting mobs before they cross is the object. Most mobs are turtles with given score for each kill. Some are newts which explode and kill nearby turtles (at a reduced score for each). Some are rabbits which will speed up nearby turtles at increased score for each. Finally, some are bugs that will toughen turtles, requiring more damage to kill one.

Once you clear a wave, you get next wave, moving faster.

I cleared 4 waves, got 5 Wisdom Cores (100 guild stones each). Interestingly, doesn't seem to be bound, so alts can likely farm it too. Since your damage is not determined by your class, level or gear, you can use lowbies.

That was arena mode, btw. There is a timed mode, I have not tried it.
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Made some vids from it for our guildies. Both versions, I guess it is understandable :)

What vfwiffo said.

It requires 30 pcoins to do it.
just to be clear killing just the bettle or rabbit without the tortoise near it will give no extra points.
also i reached stage 7 and completely survived the time mode with just 3 mobs across the line, got 2 certificate for surviving timed mode and 1 certificate for surviving arena mode (even though i just did timed mode). also got wisdom core x5 and moonlight pearl x10. @ vfwiffo in the patch notes for pumpkin festival they said they were unbounding the guild resources.
u can exchange a min of 1 certificate of timed+arena mode to get IS items, i got 10 marking inks ( i'm assuming the IS items are most likely the same as what we get in tempest height event).
though i still havent figured out what the ruby bonus is all about, it didnt give me any rubies and i dont think it directly added them to guild resources either as it doesnt show up in contribution log.

Oh, didn't read patch notes. Thanks. Most of resources are useless, since mats are easier elsewhere, and guild runes and guild stones are fairly common after the event that was giving them. But guild rubies are always in demand, so nice that they are not bound. I was not looking forward to shuffling alts from my alt guild to main one.

The reward for certs is minor IS item. You got marking ink, other got transport runes. Not sure what determines it, I got it on one alt, but other alts got higher score and no cert.

Ruby bonus is a misname. Watching the video posted above, it is a score bonus for finishing wave.

Good strategy in video to armor the turtles and then kill them with newts. I wonder how that works, though. If you armored turtle it goes to 4. Then what does newt do to score? It cuts normal turtle from 2 to 1, but what does it to do armored turtle?

Killing the fast turtle on wave 3 gives you 2 AOEs. There is one on wave 6, I think, not sure what that does.

You can walk down to the field. Doesn't seem like it is worth it, the default position is likely much better.

Ok, after doing Andor on 5 alts every day (hey, we need rubies), I came to one conclusion. It seems to matter not one iota how well you do. Low score, high score, I still get same random 5-count guild resource and apparently same chance at the certificate to exchange for minor item shop junk.

So... why work on getting high score if rewards are the same? Or is there some double secret super reward that I am missing

Both versions include two titles (high score and successfully completed lvl10).

Dunno what score you're getting on average or if you're not finishing the game properly or something, but I often times get 2 x 5-count guild resources & 2 goodie certificates. I only get 1 x 5-count & 1 certificate if I perform poorly.
