pet leveling

the question i have is why don't experience points transfer when you merge a pet? I think later on it becomes a pain especially if you found a better egg. They should give some room for your pet to grow to it's best potential without sacrificing hard earned work.

If you have lots of XP on the merge pet, then you are not doing it right. You always start with the best egg you can buy, and that is your main pet. Everything else is a throwaway. People dont put lots of work into throwaway pets.

In the case where you should start with best pet as main (holy pet egg), what do you mean by finding better one?
