Runes of Magic US / AU

If X runes were to be removed from servers, Gameforge would then have to go through each and every players account and trackback how the X rune came to be in their possession and refund it.

Perhaps easily enough for the ones bought from the Item Shop - give them back their diamonds but this gets into a tricky area when it comes to those that were gifted or COD'd.

Also, what about ones that were bought via the Auction House - AH fees would have to be refunded and the sellers would have to be traced to see how they go the X runes.

What about the X runes that were built with the Transmutor? Those are going to be a nightmare to trace back. Where did the 5 IX runes come from? VIII's?

And so on.

In short, I cannot see Gameforge making such a bad move as to just wipe out X runes from the game. Some paid RL cash for them and some others have spent considerable time farming the gold for them. I don't know where you heard such a rumor, but I really cannot help thinking you've been fed a steaming pile of *horsepuckey.

I am 100% certain it's a wrong rumour.

It makes no sense to remove runes they themselves have sold & would drive almost every single player away from the game with such an impossibly bad business move.

I would assume if they are removing X runes, it's from the people who are duping them. Yes, duping IS still an issue. Other than that I doubt they're removing legit X runes bought from item shop.

What Thek is actually referring to is Reconciliation X and Hatred X. I would say that our server will indeed never see these again

Why would GF delete X runes again?

It's not like stats are a massive boost to DPS. o.O

There are no rumors, the GMs and staff are tight lipped. This is just silly panic.

Again, it's recon n hatred, as you can see by the almighty shield iv discussion, our server is losing our x runes we previously had regular access to.

Why would we have a lot of Recons & Hatred?

Pointless discussion anyway since there's just no sense in removing runes from the servers that Gameforge/Frogster previously had on sale and that we all were able to buy.

The only rumour that has been passed around "Thalia" is the removal of hatred recon x runes, not even the removal, just the knowledge that other servers don't get them, so now we will never see them again being that recently our server was stripped of it's entire team and under the same management as US/EU.

Hah do I look like Wiffo! To this companies credit it is very good about not leaking anything.

what's this crap about?

The point is: EU servers had SHIELD (Shield+Advance=Recon) runes ONCE, ever. V and VI. Some people complained (it was like ...noone? but hey...) and as a "well informed decision for our community" they stated that they would not bring them back into the sale at this tier for the forseeable future and that the goal is to eliminate them "naturally" like, merging = less runes, players quitting and leaving the stuff on the character = less runes. That happened 2 YEARS ago.

But for 2 years now the game is constantly changing and the developer of the game had no better idea than to mess (the f word would fit better here, but beware of greenlings ) up any kind of aggro management in this game (remember 4.0.3 anyone?). Its more or less getting worse constantly - and people have been constantly screaming like "give us f'n recon runes, dammit" ... and the people who already had high recon runes were the first to flame against it ... or anyone with a class that's capable of 2 or even 3 recon runes posting crap like "huh? aggro problems? wut? me no have aggro problems, does not exist in the game, noone needs recon" (say what, smarta.. , you have 3 recons....)

Now, FINALLY, there's a poll after they finally acknowledged that there's a demand , but on the other hand, now we just have the damn poll because some idiotic flamers in the last years instead of just putting them up to sale. like we need to prove demand,lol. its 2 clicks or something and the stuff is on sale and would sale like the charges did 10 days ago for 30 minutes as they had ten times the amount in it
it goes in the right direction after years of discussion and constantly gettin' on any green or blue ones nerves.

So the status quo actually IS: you will NOT see Recon runes in sale.
nor shield. the poll is there to get the opinions of everyone whether to change that or not.


noone ever worries about Hatred X and noone ever said anything against it. But if you're worried because you never see Hatred X on sale? Well, because the "standard" X rune sale generates them twice the money.
(Standard sale: Block / Aggression / Revolution / Advance / [Potential] ... all X)

Hatred = Block+Aggression = ~600 diamonds instead of 300. that simple.

TLDR: the poll is there to make actually the OPPOSITE happen, bringing them back, instead of fading out. But only for recons because hatred never have been any issue to get after they introduced X runes.
