The level 50 epic weapons are still the best level 50 weapons. It is simply that they require too much effort to get compared to how fast you should out level them.
Level 65 moa weapons can be previewed from then npc in obsidian stronghold glory square near the teleporter, idr the npc's name. The other npc, idr the name, will give a description of what stuff needs to be collected, some of which was never activated in game.
The level 72 epic weapons can be previewed in Varanas lower west side not far from the teleporter. Again, the npc right next to him gives a semi-vauge explaination of what stuff to gather to get them.
