tiering question

tiering question

to my understanding i have to wait to plus an item prior to getting the item to a tier 10 level to achieve most stats on an item. Example, if i started plusing my tier 7 weapon now I would loose all the plusing stats I will do when I have enough materials(charges) to raise it to tier 8, correct? I just don't see why i can't carry the plusing over and not loose stats when tiering so I can use it at the same time too.

Plussing and tiering are not related.

You can plus an item and then tier or tier then plus.

There are players who believe the higher tier something is above its' base tier, the more likely the plussing jewels might fail. These players suggest getting an item plussed before tiering so that you use less jewels.
Sometimes, with the amount of jewels I go through plussing an item that's already statted, I suspect they could be right...
