Critical error at launch.

Been around the MMO block a few times and figured I would try RoM. After two attempts at downloading and installing the game, I am still getting a critical error message when I attempt to start the game. The launcher works fine untill I hit the "play" buttom. Then I get the critical error and the game shuts down. Just checked this morning and I am still using the current nVidia driver for my GPU.

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 8 Pro 32-bit
CPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 44 °C

Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

While posting DXdiag is the preferred way of conveying your hardware configuration, it is very unlikely that it would show anything. You are almost certainly up to date, although that might be a problem in itself, considering that you have Win 8, and new OSes tend to have compatibility issues on initial release.

I would try launching client.exe directly to see if the launcher is the problem or the actual executable. If you are reasonably sure that your game version is up to date, then parameter NoCheckVersion to your client.exe will bypass the ClientUpdate.exe update checker (which is another executable).

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.
