My daughter and I were playing our characters today, and she asked me why I seemed to run a lot faster than she did. I told her I thought everyone runs at the same speed, so we tested ourselves in a foot race from Logar to Varanas - and surprisingly her character was *significantly* slower than mine.

Thinking maybe it was just the differences between our computers, we switched accounts and ran the race again - and again, I beat her by a good minute or more.

I play a (male) human mage, she plays a (female) elf scout.

Neither character appears to have any passive skills that should affect running speed, but apparently there's a difference somewhere. I've searched everywhere for an answer or reason for this behavior (the wiki, runesdatabase, etc.) and I'm coming up empty-handed.

So I turn to you, the knowledgeable forum gurus.

Is there a difference between gender, race, character class or Stat (such as Strength, Dex, Stamina, etc.) that affects running speed, aside from the Warrior/Rogue Elite Skill "Speed Up"?
