How do I change my forum name ?

Speaks for itself really. cant find an option to change my forum name :/ dont want to use my current name as its also my surname.

I don't believe you can change it.....the only work around is probably making a new account and setting a new forum name on that and using it rather than your current one on the forums. (wouldnt have a clue if thats against tos or not, lol)

It isnt against ToS, as you can have something like 5 accounts. I forgot what my original forum name was after playing the game w/o ever coming here, so i decided to make another one.

You can have 5 ROM accounts on one Frogster/GF account, but you only get one forum account per Frogster account. If you want another forum account, you need another Frogster account (meaning another email).

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Can't remember how, but there is a way to change the name used. When changed it switches all your previous posts to the new name so you don't need to make any other changes

Now you have me trying to remember how and I'l likely be up late again till I do!

Under account management, there's an option for the forums id/password. Except think I read something about redoing the account management system so I'll have to take a look if it's still there.

Sorry to say, but there's no way to change your forum name, even with the new Account Management page. You will have to create and register a new account, using a different email address.

Hmm must have changed when GF took over cause that option used to be there as I changed mine some time after I'd registered. Just checked and yeah the whole acct mgmt page is different than I remember.

Same, must have been removed same time the forum became hard to read.

The Australian terms of use expressly ban multiple accounts, eg, 7.1 states "The use of several user accounts is not permitted. Such multi-user accounts can be deleted or banned". There's other stuff in there to say you must create an account as a natural person, the game owner requires a guarantee about correct information (2.1), the user contract is invalid if I supply incorrect info (2.6), Gameforge can delete my account if I am not who I say I am (6.1), and other stuff.

But Gameforge are telling me ... I can create a second account?

Those are the global T&C, not just for AU and the full 7.1 states:

These T&C have recently been updated to more accurately reflect Gameforge policies rather than Frogster but there are some other documents to know about in connection to Runes of Magic:

EULA 7.1 was discussed on the EU forum a little while back and it was discovered that the general Gameforge EULA might forbid it, but there is an exception in the Community Guidelines for RoM. (The conclusion seems to be that 7.1 & 7.3 are there to allow Customer Support to slap anyone caught botting.)
