Question is why are you making mana stones.

If you are making mana stones to tier up something, you want high tier and you dont care about stats. Then you buy cheap fusion stones from vendor in OS or Varanas, buy Level 61 belts from AH or from a guildie and make your T4 stones. They will have junk stats but you don't care.

If you make stones to stat something, you have two ways - dirty statting and clean. For dirty statting (3 good stats, 3 bad ones), you use gear with stat you want and 3 vendor stones with exact same low level stats. For clean, you use a puri (purified fusion stone, available in item shop). Then you can put 6 good stats on your gear.

At L30, it is likely too early to stat. You will outgrow the gear very fast. If you do stat, do so cheaply. Using the X stats from AH on L74 and L75 gear will likely get you cheaply statted very powerful for your level piece of gear. And it will be T5, since X stats come from gear high enough level to make T5s.

No one at level 30 should be attempting to stat anything.Wait until your max capped, you can waste plenty of money then.

While I won't try to dissuade you from statting, it's often more beneficial to wait until you are at least level 55 because of the massive quality jump in gear from 55 as opposed to say 50. You'll be like "Zomg...", trust me.

Actually, y'all are missing a bet here. There's one gear piece that, at a lower-mid level player such as Bazooka can use right up to and into lvl 55 --an overdura white cloak that's been statted with inexpensive yellow stats from the AH. And once he graduates to lvl 55+ gear, that cloak can easily be sold to another player, or passed along to an alt toon (presuming the stats match the alt's class.)

Bazooka, use Zombo's guide, or Shifuimam's guide (old, mainly for dirty statting, but describes the basics very well), and talk to your guildies. If you don't have purified fusion stones, look for the most inexpensive T4 mana stones you can find which have the stats you need. (The Advanced Auction House addon is a *must* for this, and for finding an OD white cloak.)

Learning how to stat now is an important step towards *knowing* how to stat later on.
