Shadowstab does 0 damage to Chiron the Centaur

Anyone else look at the combat log and see that shadowstab does 0 damage to Chiron the Centaur? I noticed it in my log tonight after siege. I usually start my rotation with shadowstab, so a waste of 20 energy and a gcd.....LOL... Thought I would ask and see if this is the normal for rogues in siege?

If there is any type of aoe effect on the skill, warden pets are immune to it. So if you have the elite that makes shadow stab hit 2 enemies, that may be the cause.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

You da man, that explains everything. r/s wrath attack makes shadowstab hit 2. not a true aoe, but makes sense now.

Its must not be considered an aoe cos it still needs a target to be casted upon and not area on ground. At least it should damage the Chiron if it gets direct hit from the skill and not the spreading hits.

same applies to scout's piercing arrow & reflective shot. Both do zero damage to warden pets & pet egg pets. Anything that hits more than 1 target is classified as an AOE. Thus making S/M's blazing energy & the warrior item set skill weapon guard much less pointless.

All warden pets are immune to "aoe" hits. So are pets from cavy eggs, and a few vanity pets. To my knowledge, the priest fairies are not immune.

I agree it is bumkiss that certain "aoe" hits require a target to fire, ie potws, piercing arrow, ss, cleave.

As a wd/s in siege it seems my chiron gets none of the defense benefits I have as it always gets hit for twice the amount of damage as me, both critical and normal hits, according to the combat log. So realistically just use single target hits on the warden pets, because a "class balance" to adjust their immunity would greatly affect pve far more than both wardens or players running with wardens would appreciate.

Please do not "class balanace" the tactics I use.

I think thats just magic attacks. I do remember Chiron having quite a bit of Pdef. But yeah, my fireball hits Chiron like it hits a level 1 bunny.
