In the same classes, no, they are the same. What they do have is access to different classes. Only humans can be knights or Priests. Only elves can be druids or wardens. Only dwarves can be warlocks or champions. And for some reason dwarves cannot be scouts.

Champion and Warrior both use the same energy pool--Rage. Mage and Druid both use the same energy pool--Mana. Curious why this matters?

I should think that Rage is built up and then used, then built up again with non-skill attacks (white hits) but at the start of combat, Focus is already at 100 and is depleted as skills are used. Those skills which don't require focus can be used, but Focus will rebuild more slowly than Rage would.
