bind lifter vs. advanced bind lifter

I'm trying to figure out how this works out. We get alot of items such as clothing through events and/or even sometimes wings. Do these need an advanced bind lifter to be able to trade or send to another character or are they unlocked through a regular bind lifter. I can see having to use an advanced lifter for items such as ancient memento items or items that you would like to place in your closet but eveything else seems overdone- am I wrong?

Costume items and regular in-game stuff marked as "Bound" (prior to equipping) require an Advanced Bind Lifter to be able to mail / trade. Once an item is unbound in this way though it can be then unbound in the future using a Regular Bind Lifter...

Good way around it for the costume items is the aggregators. you can buy 10 for 35 dias and agg the costume to an unbound item and trade it that way.

This only works for costumes tho

Advanced Bind Lifters are for gear that is BOP (Bind on Pickup). Bind Lifters are for gear which is BOE (Bind on Equip).

As Arkana pointed out, using one ABL on a piece of BOP gear makes it permanently BOE going forward.

Most blue and green gear is BOE, all purple gear is BOP. Doesn't matter where it comes from- mems, EOJ, proofs, boss drops. Only exception to that rule is MOST crafted gear (the Dragon accessory sets comes to mind- they are purple crafted BOP).

Using an ABL on gear you intend to agg is crazy. Do what Bent suggested instead, and aggregate it to white cloth cheap unbound gear and trade that gear to whomever. They can then use another agg to get it into their wardrobe.

Since you are on Grimdal (I think) you can probably also PK trade bound gear. Just pk the other player til the item you want to trade drops. That still works, right?
