appleflower friendnship quest

so i had to get flowers to get a apple flower thing to extract. Does this do something if my friend has the opposite flower or something? I was under the impression this was leading to me getting my level 60 elite skill, what am i missing? Why do i need to get friendship essence?

You got it. You need 20 snowpearl gels to complete the maturing of your flower. Your friend needs 20 apple gels. So, you make apple gels for him and he makes showpearl gels for you, and two of you trade them. Make sure you don't complete one ahead of the other, because once flower is matured after 20 opposite gels, it gets harvested and you can't make any more gels for the other person.

Yes, be careful of this - make gel before you feed your flower. I got caught out by this.

You can get another flower for your third class combos. I already got my wd/s and s/wd 60 elites and have a flower for my d/s and s/d 60 elites.
