In game time during siege?

I've asked this question before a loooooong time ago and never got a clear answer. I have two videos to show that will make the question clear.

My Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE8Nm_-0GpE At 33:25, you'll see me run towards the tower where my guildy TwinStorm aka the Candyman is buffing as I heal myself. Notice that in game, it's day time.

Twin's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx6oNzfUiJY At 5:25, you'll see the exact same scene from his point of view. Notice that for him, it's night time in game.

So why is it day time for me, but night time for him? Would it be possible for me to change so it would be night time for me as well?

Nice job at calling out your guildie for hax. :P

Just kidding. I actually appears that they have some different graphics settings becaues they show the clouds in their video view distance/effects where as your video does not. I also noticed that the shadows of the guards at the crystal tower seemed to be the same for both video, indicating it is not day and night for you two. The best bet is that some setting is reducing your guildie's gamma or brightness, in comparison to yours, possibly the bloom effect. The setting might even be on your platforms, not in the game. If it is not that, just cry hax and be done with it, hehe.

Also, your toolbar is taking up a precious 1/2" :P

I think day/night has to do with time you log in, not actual game time. There have been several times when my son and I were questing and he's asking me how I can see all the mobs in the dark, on my screen it's daylight, on his it's night.

On the links shown, one you can see that it's evening on the hud (upper right), the other looks like full day (bright blue w/greenish at the bottom.
Sometimes, but not often, you can change day/night by changing channels too.

I absolutely hate the day night cycle, others argue that it adds realism, but I don't see how it could be construed as realistic in any way.
