Sorry i don't know if Osha has less ppl on it now, then it did when you playd. The only way you will know is to log on .. hell you may even fined some old friends still play

In my opinion, I believe that there are a lot of people still playing in Osha.
I think you need to find a better guild to help you with your quest.

There's quite a few on Osha.. I don't know how dense it is compared to other servers, but there's always people around, especially in the afternoon @ Inferno Gardens. Our "Trade" channel alone (which not a lot of people seem to know about) has about 50 in it right now, and it's not even heavily used..

To answer your questions, server population has gone down in the recent year or two. I'm not sure how it compared to when you played which was probably chapter 1 or chapter 2, but there were a lot of players during Chapter 3 and who quit in the middle of Chapter 4. There are no official numbers for it, but one way to kind of tell how many players your server has is when you log in, there is a player density or something like that which tells you whether the server is full (red), crowded (yellow), or light (green). I'm not sure if those are the exact terms, but you get the idea.

I think one of the reasons you can't find people to help you with your quests is because not a lot of people quest in the old zones now. You can now choose a 3rd class and there are two accompanying zones that allow you to level up your 3rd class very fast, so a lot of people have stopped going to the old zones like Dustdevil Canyon, Weeping Coast, Savage Lands, etc. I'm not sure what zone you're in, but that might be why. My advice to you if you want to quest and level up is to first check out what you might want to do for a 3rd class and then quest a bit in the 3rd class zones (Coast of Opportunity, Xaviera). There's a really good daily at the end of Xaviera that gives you 266 k xp per completion, and it only takes 2-3 minutes to complete.

Currently, there is no way to do a server transfer and I doubt there ever will be, because then you would run into a lot of problems. For example, what if a scammer scammed a ton of people on Artemis, got a bad reputation, and then transferred to Osha and started scamming again there.

The numbers are declining atm. There are numerous reasons: dia prices that never really recovered from the chapter 4 spike, most of the 30-60 content is vacant, a lot of content is still broken, lack of customer service, and list goes on.

It is normal for some of the players at high end to leave, and normally there are players that used to be new and playing for a while to replace them. There is a breakdown in this cycle as more and more high level players leave (mostly due to broken content/lack of customer support/irl) and the retention of new players playing awhile to replace them is not suficient. There were measures put in place to aid in the retention of new players, such as the COO/XAV area, the shell gear, the gear packages, owenstien, dias on the ah, and some others. And to GF credit, they are chipping away at the colossal mountin of broken content at a better rate than frogster.

So what can the players do to help the situation(and thus themselves)?

what we have been asking ourselves lately is Why Do We Still Play... the morrok line being down for 3months, the server being crashed, doublexp compensation being run on days with Another broken quest, sieges full of exploiters and recently a dia sale you couldnt buy dias at for items that were overpriced and no words from frog/gameforge on WHY...

recommendation to the OP > joining a guild is a quicker way to get some runs down for dungeons, ask first tho, some guilds will not like someone joining JUST to run a dungeons... if you are really unhappy with osha, make a toon on artemis they seemed pretty friendly

Was my first F2P MMORPG after I stopped with WoW.
Never went back to WoW since.

There are no server transfer offers at this time.
Best to stick where you are or create a new one.

Personally if you need help, go for the much-populated server Artemis.

Artimis is prob the most populated server with Osha being number 2. Find a good guild and ask questions alot. So much has changed since you played...classes, races and skills wise. If you come to Osha look me up my guild is always recruiting new ppl and has an enormous knowledge base.

Maybe it is time to ask again. We know they have the numbers, not sure why they won't tell us except maybe it gives us something else to complain about. In any case Govinda is the most populated server...so there.
