Runes of Magic US / AU

So I've been getting tired of some bugs that have been happening to me. (IE: players not loading, etc, etc). My last fresh install was around late July of 2012. Way back then, I'd log in and not be bothered by the memory warning message 10min in to playing. Normally it would pop up after hours of play in the overworld, or 30-40min into siege. Now it pops up after one port/zone change as well as within 2-3min of entering siege.

So I figured that it's time to do another reinstallation of rom. I go to the website and click downloads. When I click client download, it prompts me to allow the gameforgelive setup to be downloaded. Last time i checked, that's not the client. I'm not interested in having GFLive. I just want the client. So my question is, do I have to get it? If I have to, then I guess I'll just use the "Runes_of_Magic_5_0_0_2535_full" file instead to reinstall and hope it fixes my issues.

Clocaked, did you try to use cleanmem?

It most likely will not help with user data not loaded, but it will help with memory leaks. Even if you do fresh client install, still download and use it as it will help you.

I'm very hesitent to download Cleanmem becasue of what it says on the webpage. The whole "you're antivirus will say that it's found one but we assure you it's clean" thing makes me nervous. I don't plan to get it.

I just re-downloaded the client about two months ago after taking a few months off from the game, and people's characters started disappearing after that -- hadn't had that problem since chapter 3/early ch 4 before then. Post again if it does help, please, since I'm desperate to get rid of that problem too.

Will do, it's only taking me about 2-4min per bin file to download, so I should be able to let you know. I'm gonna do a 2day field test with the new install and let you know how it went.

It worked like a charm. I didn't get the memory message warning till over halfway through siege. Players were not invisible, and my framerate almost doubled upon doing a clean install using the links in the thread kalvan provided.
