Will I get banned for selling diamonds for gold?

The topic title isn't very specific, didn't have a lot of space to type it...read

I'm planning to buy like $500 in diamonds this week and turn most of it to gold, but I'm doing it on a very low level account I just created. Will I get into any trouble for using these diamonds on the AH for gold?

The reason I ask is because my friend told me his account got suspended for being low level with 30 million gold. $500 in diamonds would equal out to almost 800-900 million. Am I safe to do this? I just don't want to buy all those diamonds and then my account get suspended when I sell them for gold on the AH

Thank you totally unhelpful post!

You shouldn't get banned for this, but if you do (which is unlikely), they'll unban your account immediately if you send a support ticket in.

Eh all that matters is that I'm having fun and not spending money that I dont have haha. Doesn't matter if I spend it on this game or on WoW or some other game.

I'd take some time to experience the game and find out if you find a spot that you fit well into. Before you dump your money look to see if it is a good investment

I'm pretty sure you can get geared pretty well with that amount of gold if your numbers are correct. So check out the endgame content, and ask those who are already at that stage. You don't even need to spend that much yet to breeze through gameplay (lvling is fast which sucks x.x moar quests!!!)

This isn't my first account. I didn't just find this game and decide to drop a bunch of money into it :p

Borella has your answer - You should not get banned for this, as selling diamonds in-game via the auction house is legitimate gameplay. If you do get banned for some reason, an appeal with support will correct the matter or provide you with the details of what you have done that is against the rules if you are banned for another reason.

Yes see that's what is iffy. I've had friends accused of breaking the rules by support when everything they've done is completely legitimate. The support for this game is cool and all but I can't help but get a really cruel dictator sort of vibe when nothing is stopping them from accusing you of literally anything whether you did or not, as well as nobody is really making sure that they're not enforcing some rule that's not in the ToS.

In other words, there's no checks and balances. I've seen people get banned/suspended and all their items wiped inspite of having paid over $1000-2000 in diamonds to Frogster. It's as if the fact that they paid that much in a short period of time is completely irrelevant, and that they can just accuse you of things and once they've made up their mind there's literally no arguing.... that is what I am afraid of.
