Diamond question

I haven't played in more than a year and was looking to get back into the game. I've noticed there are many changes regarding diamonds. (And apparently I completely missed the diamond NPC's implementation and subsequent deactivation).

Are diamonds now tradeable? My husband no longer plays and has a few diamonds, can he trade them to me in some way other than gifting?

One final diamond question: since the revamp of the Web site do I need to reregister my account? I've gone to the diamond buying tab and none of my passwords work even though I can sign into the forums with my original account password and I can log into the game. It keeps saying I need to register my account.

And on an unrelated note I see the Score for More thing on the main homepage (though when I click on it nothing happens), has that been implemented for the US and if so, how can I get to it?

you can buy and sell diamonds on the AH now. So, theoretically your husband could list his diamonds on teh AH and you could buy them. I'll let someone else answer the registration concern, though I will ask...did you try to go view your account?

As far as I know, score for more has not been implemented.

Diamonds are tradeable, but not directly; you'll have to use the Auction House to do it. The best way is to have the person you're transferring the diamonds TO put up an auction for 1 gold for XXX amount of diamonds, then go buy that auction with the player your transferring the diamonds FROM.

Sounds like you're on the EU website instead of the US one. Click the little "US" flag at the top right, or just go directly to http://us.runesofmagic.com/ and try to log in there. The US, EU, and AU servers/websites all require different accounts. Took me 3 days to figure that out when I first started, and they don't make that clear AT ALL when you're signing up.

No, Score for More is not avialable on the U.S. or AU servers - just the EU ones.

You are indeed correct. I was on the EU homepage which is strange since I clicked on the homepage link on the US forums page. But thanks for clearing that up.

My husband has a negligible amount of diamonds, just a handful, so it might not be worth messing with but I'll look into it.

That was reported some time ago...

As for DIAS trade, make sure you go in AH and make auction to pay 1 gold for XXX dias. (no other way around). If you place XXX dias for 1 gold on your hubby account, someone might get them before you.

Yes, be careful.

Alternatively, have other toon place dias on AH at high price (like 100k) and then buy them. Diamond trading has no AH fees, so the other toon will get full amount you paid. Then just send gold back to your main toon.

I did manage to get the diamonds through the AH. I just put them up higher than what others were selling so no one would want them. Although all the diamonds were really high in the AH. Is that normal on Reni? Maybe most people still do it the old way with gifting.

Gifting does not provide you with rubies, so gifted diamonds should be cheaper.
