Change from middle east server to enus server>help

Hi

I play runes of magic in middle east server since 2010.. :p
But now I want to change my server from ae to en sever
My ae client is 5.0.5.2619.ae
and my en client is 4.0.1
can I use my old client (5.0.5.2619.ae) to start en client(4.0.1) without download the full game again?
cuz download it again killed !

me it's take 3 or 4 days @@!
if someone can help me plz ;p

Tried to patch your AE client and change in config to use EU version?

Just delete old EN client. 4.* is not any good and it takes longer to update then to install game a new.

Patching the AE client with US/EU patches can have the following results:

not work
will result in a 5.0.8 client that still wants to connect to the AE servers
something else

I cannot be certain what will happen, but I reckon you will probably have to downloaded our client as the AE servers are run by a different company.

This might work but I'm not sure... If you still have ur AE version of the game, go to the folder on your computer: C:\Program Files\Runes of Magic and look for the file RuneDev.ini & open it using Notepad program. In the [Locale] & [Server] part of that file, change it so it would look like:

We're happy to see you here.

I have to agree with Kroagnon, I don't now what exactly would happen, but I forwarded the question. However I'm afraid that an answer to that will take as long as a new download for you because we would have to test this ourselves and I don't know the ToDo List of our QA guys

What EscapeTheFate did recommend will not change the patching process it will only change the connection to the servers.

Actually that is not a type of question that arrives us daily, to be honest this is the first time I hear about it

I'll keep you informed as soon as I get to know anything.

OP,

It is best for you to re-download the entire client. I have heard of issues arising from players immigrating from Tahadi game's client to GF's game client.

There are a few modifications in the base client that could cause things to get corrupt when patching up. (Last thing you want is to re-download it in the future).

(Different models, items etc.)

From what I have seen the Tahadi version of RoM is like PG13 (even less) and they have weird ... very weird ... cash shop items and events.

Try the links from my signature (5.0.5 client) as you may get better speed than using the Gameforge Live installer.

Currently, the game is on 5.0.8 and I'm guessing will reach 5.0.9* this week when they add in the Birthday Celebrations.
