can anyone tell me if runes can be played on a mac book?

From what I remember, it is possible to run RoM on boot-camp and it is also possible to run it using Wine (you can find the guide made by Peryl here: http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=57899 ), you might want to tweak a few other things if you are doing it on a Mac.

Boot-camp is the preferred option as it won't be as buggy as on Linux.
