Secondary Problems

I feel like I've been making a lot of threads lately. Ha. But I need help with something, still somewhat new, but I got my secondary earlier and I am a M/P and I never got my secondary equipment. I didn't really think about it. But later on I got my house in Logar and I changed my classes and was Primary Priest lvl 1, and a Secondary Mage still level 13. I thought it was supposed to reset to 1/1 Not really sure what to do. And I still don't have my secondary equipment.

Edit-- I noticed that I am 1/1. But what about the equipment?

Open your Character Sheet (C), then find the numbered button in the lower right corner of your toon's picture. Put your mouse pointer on it and select the button marked "2". This will change to the second page, where your new starter gear should be located.

If it's not there--and this does sometimes happen--go back to the Class Hall in Varanas and see the gear vendor there. He can sell you an inexpensive set of Cloth gear, which includes a weapon. You shouldn't need that weapon unless you've already discarded the +8 enhanced wand you should have received back in Pioneers Village. That weapon is really good and should last you quite a few levels. You'll have to unequip it manually and re-equip it when you change gear from one side to the other. You can do that when talking to the House Manager outside your house.

Pay attention to the level requirements for your gear. Once your secondary class matches or exceeds all of the gear on the first page of your Character Sheet, you can go back to using just the first page.

One of the advantages to a m/p is both sides can wear the same gear provided the priest has high enough level to wear the exact same items as the mage. This is another incentive to keep your priest as close to the mage as you can in level, over the other option of going all out on the mage and leaving the priest far behind. This way not only is your mage going to benefit better from the priest secondary skill levels, but there would be no need to swap much if any armor or weapon when switching your class. Makes it much more efficient for making/buying your gear for this setup too, which is my favorite reason for going with a m/p. R/s is another setup that can work like this very well. If you plan to be a healer while on the p/m setup, you will need another set of gear stated for that though, but for me, just having the one set of gear has worked out great in keeping up my priest side with the mage level.
