Need help installing the game

I tried downloading gameforge live and installing it that way but the game download kept skipping back from lets say 16% to 9% (odd). Then finally it went to 21% and I decided to pause it and just resume the next day. The next day when I tried to resume the download it went back to 3%, so it was clear to me that wasn't gonna work out. I even found a couple pages on the forum with the manual files but everything has been changed up and I can't find those pages anymore. I see a few mirrors listed on the download page but I have no idea which ones are better than the above (if any), can someone recommend one to me please? ;(

P.S. >_> I also complained about it on their facebook page (just for fun) and they told me to come here.... :miffy: so basically they're saying it's RoM's fault that they suck...typical.... :miffy:

P.S.S. I know I'm not supposed to mention "them" in my posts (or at least that's what I think it said in the rules) but it was unavoidable in order to explain my situation......just wanted to mention that :S

Manual Downloads for the RoM Client

The links in the above thread are all good but you need to make sure you download all the files before trying to install.

Also, the engine for download/installation runs to 100% and back to 1% several times as it downloads and installs the many patches involved.

Thank you for replying :) but it says "page not found" when I use that link 8| Also just to be clear, when I was downloading it was still in the "download" phase, not installing or patching so idk if it should be skipping like that...

The forum seems to be inserting it's own base-url into the beginning of links - I don't know why.

Try the link again.

If it doesn't work, try looking at your browser address bar and remove the first part of the url.

Alright, well I downloaded the files, but I don't know how to manually patch a game. (I'm guessing I should have the installer first but i'm not sure, and I don't know how to get that either) Step by step instructions would be helpful :S
*Also, is it normal for number 7 and 8 to be 326MB and 286MB respectively, because I don't trust my internet connection.

Number 1 through 8 should all be 1Gb in size. Number 9 is 660Mb.
Don't forget the EXE file to run the installation for you.

Once installed, the launcher should patch itself automatically but you may wish to disable your anti-virus software whilst installing & patching to avoid any errors.

There's your problem. Avast has been known to toss out false positives when it encounters some of the special characters in filenames once they've been uncompressed. The simplest solution is to temporarily disable your a/v program when installing the game and when updating it. You can re-enable it after the installation and patching processes are done.
