critical crash

Ello all. Ok so as most of you know, i have been updating my laptop from last years version to now. it works fine. now im updating my desktop to the same version. nothing has changed on my desktop at all in the last year. its bigger and better than my laptop. so i started updating it from 4.x.x and at 5.0.4.25xx i said this is going to take forever so i downloaded this:

which took me to almost curent. once i installed it, i started the game and it updated one last time. it says hit the play button and i do and that when screen goes black and then the error happens.

In another thread of mine, someone said instead of updating from chapter 4, just start fresh

How do you start fresh without registering for a new account? I do not want to lose all my toons?

Can i fix the issue i just created because i guess i skipped the updates in between 5.0.4.x.x-6.0.0.x.x? can i delete a patch? or am i gonna have to reinstall? if so, how do i do that without creating a new account and or losing my toons?

Skipping updates is what ruined your game installation & I suspect you'll have to 'start afresh' by redownloading the client and letting it patch itself.

You can download the client from the main website with the GameforgeLive downloader, but as an alternative, Inferiority has a thread with direct download links to the game install files:

Additionally, the Softpedia link for "their" RoM game client is unofficial and we (Gameforge) cannot support it. The newest (currently) set of installation files are the 5.0.5 files that can be downloaded from either the US or EU websites, or from the links in Inferiority's thread. Even the mirror sites that can be found on the EU RoM website have the older 5.0.0 installation files.

And, sad to say, there's no ETA on when an updated 6.0.0 set of installation files will be available.

The softpedia link is only the most recent patch and not a full client anyway.
