PVE DPS Question

So I am returning from a year hiatus, returning to RoM and just curious which is the top PHYSICAL dps class combo ONLY from a PVE perspective? I am only interested in playing melee-based classes, i.e. (Rogue, Warrior, Warden, Scout) and I'm wondering as to at this current state of the game which class combo puts out the most dps(end-game, fully geared/statted). All opinions and feedback welcomed and appreciated.

Warrior/Warden is definately up there. Rogue/Mage was completely remade and became pretty decent for a while, until they got nerfed, though imo, R/M is still pretty decent after nerf.

There were also 2 new classes, Champions and Warlock. Champions are mostly a tank, thought they still do have very decent DPS, and with all their AoE's running at the same time, sometimes they could pull off top DPS while tanking.

Yeah I've heard about Warrior/Warden and even Rogue/Warden being very viable dps. You've given me more reason to consider the combos. More feedback is welcomed from any others viewing this thread as well!

Not sure what nerf you are talking about, but R/m (since they have been reworked) still perform amazingly. Top 3 DPS for sure.

I see that you're a r/m Bleedingblak so I can tell your opinion is based from experience as well. That's definitely a plus. What class combos would list as your top 3?

Warden/Warrior
Rogue/Mage

Maybe just a description change. From what I remember, R/M skills were doing less damage than it was supposed to, so rather than fixing the damage, they nerfred skill description so that the lower damage became working as intended.

I dunno, my guildies always called it a nerf so I guess I caught it from him :D

The skill description names were changed to match the appropriate output damage. There was no -literal- nerf. Just so people know :)

Technically, he did ask for physical DPS.

We don't really have anything that diverse when we run. Usually a bunch of r/m's \ r/wds \ wd/s \ w/m

I'm reading these posts and it seems mainly that warrior/rogues combo with a warden are the top dps right now as far as PVE physical dps goes. Thanks for the feedback guys, it's helping steer my path for what I'm looking for. I played a rogue, warrior and scout as well back before I took my year hiatus and enjoyed all 3 of the classes. Unfortunately, I've heard and done my research on the scouts and yeah definitely won't be playing that class anytime soon after the changes to it sadly.

It's also funny because I've seen the many posts about the W/M being amazing right now(something I never seen coming myself) which is enticing but that gameplay style doesn't really appeal to me. Once again thanks for all the feedback.

You can do decent dps on s/wd... if you want to scout.

Wd/w with 70 elite is prob top dps in game assuming you can find tank to hold your agro. W/wd is prob 2nd best but very close to wd/w. wd/s is solid too though rotation is somewhat limited.

I'd recommend the champ/rogue, but that would be too biased lol :) . I think the 70 elite is actually better than the wd/w elite. Also don't forget that champs get more raw patt per strength (2) than wardens (1.5). Nevertheless, you can make the case that charged chop > any dps skill the champ has. Good luck choosing.

Ch/r is very good as well - extra bonus, when they die, it looks like they get shot :) I love it :p

Champs actually got a skill called "Remodeled Body " that when activated*, if you die within the next 10 seconds it recovers all life once more. Something similar to how Wardens sacrifice the Oak to regain their hp.Another reason to try the champ/rogue ^^.

*Can only be activated when in Shield Form
