Some questions

Well, my english is not that good, but I haven't found any brazilian or portuguese page for instructions, so, you have to forgive me for that.

1. I still don't know how to put any skills or potions in the shortcut bar. This is very annoying. I've tried to drag the skill to the bar, and nothing happened. Tried pushing shift and another buttons while pressing the corresponding numbers, still, nothing.

2. Do you know any server wich may be used by brazilian, portuguese or, even that don't speak my language, may be able to help me out? I have little experience with mmorpg - in fact, I've only played Priston Tale until I downloaded Runes of Magic.

3. For my (in)experience, I'm used to choose where to put the points that I gain from changing level. I'm not quite sure, I only played it for a couple hours, but I haven't found this option. I did found an option that said "melee", and there were another four options to choose. Are the points distributed automatically by this option? If I change "melee" to another option, will the points, from this moment, be distributed according to it?

For now, I guess that's it.

Thanks already.

1) Press k (default) to open up the skill list. Left click (and hold down the left click) the skill and drag it onto a slot on your skillbar. For potions, press b (default) to open backpack. Same as skills, left click and drag the potion from your backpack to your skillbar.

2) There are EU servers which have servers for many European languages languages. I'm not sure if they have the languages you listed, but you could check it out.

3) Whenever you gain XP, you also obtain TP. TP can be used to level up skills. Again, press k (defualt) to open up skill list, click on a skill, and there should be a button on the bottom right of the skill list for upgrading. Click on it, and choose how much you want to level the skill to. Also, whenever you level up, a round button will appear on your screen which takes you to the skill list when clicked.

We have Spanish forums here, but no Portuguese forums. The English-language forums get used far more often than the Spanish forums do. We can probably follow your English well enough to assist you.

1. I still don't know how to put any skills or potions in the shortcut bar. This is very annoying. I've tried to drag the skill to the bar, and nothing happened. Tried pushing shift and another buttons while pressing the corresponding numbers, still, nothing.

To clarify what Ruisen said, open your skill window (K), then click on the main class, secondary class, and class-specific skill tab(s). Find the skill(s) that you want to put on your action bar, then left-click and hold the skill icon, then drag it to the skill bar. Do this for each skill you want to place there. Note that "green" skills are considered to be passive. That means they don't need to be manually activated or placed on the skill bar.

2. Do you know any server wich may be used by brazilian, portuguese or, even that don't speak my language, may be able to help me out? I have little experience with mmorpg - in fact, I've only played Priston Tale until I downloaded Runes of Magic.

There is a bi-lingual Spanish/English US server, Palenque. Most of the players there are bi-lingual, but there are some who are strictly English-only. Since you just started playing RoM, you might consider switching to Palenque and see if things are easier for you there.

3. For my (in)experience, I'm used to choose where to put the points that I gain from changing level. I'm not quite sure, I only played it for a couple hours, but I haven't found this option. As Ruisen said, you can upgrade (level up) various skills by opening the skill window, clicking on the skill in the main class or class-specific tab--in this case, the area to the right of the skill icon--then click the Upgrade button that appears in the lower right of the window frame. A dialogue box will open and you can then use the arrows to upgrade the level for that skill. Note again that most "green" skills are passive and there are some which cannot be upgraded.

While you are on your main class, you can not upgrade the secondary class skills. You can only upgrade those when you have changed to that class and it is your main class. The TP "pools" for main and secondary classes are separate.

At lower levels (usually 2-10), you can easily max out your skill levels. After that, you should pay closer attention to leveling skills and not use up all your TP on one or two skills. Some skills should be kept as close to your class' current level, but each class is different and some skills are more important than others. You should check the forums that are dedicated your character's classes and see what others have said about maximizing the skills for those classes.

Hope this helps.

If you're finding that dragging skills to your hotbar is not working, press Esc until the system menu appears and navigate to 'Interface'. Find on the left 'Action Bars'. Make sure that 'Action Bar Lock' is NOT checked as this locks your action bar placement.

Good one, Jguy. I didn't think of that option.

(Kalvan already covered everything else I could think of.)

dragging skills to the action bars should work regardless of that setting... but you can't move skills around the action bars.

I tend to do that so I don't accidentally pick up a skill in the middle of a boss fight. :))

Or in Siege, which I've done. Sometimes I move the pointer faster than my finger releases the button and I drag the skill or item icon off the bar.

Most of the time I don't drop it, but...

For a while there I could drag and 'slot' anything, regardless if the action bar lock was on..but to remove something from a 'slot' you had to be sure the 'action bar lock' was on the OFF POSITION, located in the interface section after hitting escape...or down by the bag 'settings'....
