ah, thank you saito. must have missed that...i am only concerned because in the past, GF has altered their official stance without making it widely known, then bans people for engaging in previously allowed behaviors...

It seems to me he was expressing a reasonable opinion that, if adopted by all, would lead to less whining and QQing. Even if it isn't enforced by GF, doing the right thing and making the choice you want others to make if they were in your shoes is beneficial to everyone. As a mage, I have often been tempted to hit that forge or processing factory within t-storm range of a gate, but would I want to come back to my castle with all 3 gates up and find missing buildings? Stop asking "What can I get away with?" and enjoy a good battle, hard-fought and honorable. Besides, he said "Take it as guidelines or as a point of discussion, I don't claim to make actual rules out of it because that is beyond me, but so far doing it like that worked good, and without pointless drama or cheating accusations. " I look forward to any siege where I know the opponent fights fair, even if I know we're gonna get slaughtered because the fun is in the battle, not winning at any cost.

So I read all the posts here and have something to share. Im fairly new to game and have done a few sieges. Yetserday we got in siege 3 against 5 our guild being the 3 we new it would be tough. But literally with in 2 minutes they had all 6 towers then next three minutes had two exterior gates then our inner gate and our crytal all without no Hearld, no scrolls(meteor,etc), so within nine minutes game over. I guess what I'm saying is why exploit (if this was an exploit) Its not a true win if you have to cheat. I was just really sad
and I agree with Tim I look forward to a fair firght even if we lose

I think what many people on the forums don't understand is that there are many players who just don't even think about exploits. Players like me who naturally assume if they hit someone inside a gate with a spell that it's an intended function of the game. After all there's holes in the gate and they can hit me. It's just common sense to assume it's ok.

The other day I jumped/casted thundersword at someone standing on their balcony next to their gate and I was shocked and happy I could hit them because they could hit me!

Is that an exploit? I'm not really asking because I don't care one way or the other.

If it is an exploit either fix it or notify me by email (or in game message, don't matter as long as I don't have to look for it) of these exploits that I need to be avoiding.

Don't expect me to hunt down information on forums and decipher what is and isn't an opinion just to play a stupid game. Get real. Period, the end.

Was there ever a firm resolution to the LOS question in siege. My understanding from your post is that effecting towers and players with pets/spells through walls/gates is not an exploit while effecting a permanent building is. Is that a fair summary of your post and the current state of affairs?
