Item Shop Plus Service

I noticed for a while that the Star/Sun/Moon Jewels used to plus weapon/armor/accessories are available at lvl 30, lvl 40, then jump all the way to lvl 90. Will we be seeing the levels in between again as they were there in the past or is this a permanent establishment?

Just hate to buy lvl 90 diamond/ruby items to plus something 20-30 levels lower.

Take care

You don't. You only use the lvl 90 jewels for items level 81-90. Jewels are only used for items within its level range

Example: If you got an item level 72 or 75, you use the lvl 71-80 jewels. Don't buy any other jewel because it won't work. Also be careful to read explicitly the information because there are jewels for armour, weapons, accessories, and back. You can only use a weapon jewel on a weapon etc..

Actually, the Item Shop jewels don't have a lower limit, just an upper limit.

You *can* use a level 90 jewel to plus a level 1 equipment piece. (Why you'd want to is another matter...)

I've played RoM for more than four years. As I recall, Frogster/Gameforge began removing the higher-level plussing gems whenever a new level cap that exceeded the highest-level gems available in the Item Shop, somewhere around Chapter III. At that time, the level cap went to 60-62 (NJF/RT and a bit later, Limo Desert/KT). They introduced the level 70 gems and removed the level 60 gems from the Item Shop. they probably removed the level 50 gems around the same time.

Prices for the new gems were the same as those for the old gems. This has been pretty much standard ever since, other than the prices for the highest-level gems having actually dropped in price.

If you have level 70 or 80 gems, you can use them on appropriate, lower-level gear. If you only have level 90 gems (which, as of this writing, have only been available for the past 2-3 weeks), you can still use them on any gear piece, from level 55 and up. Hell, you can use them on even lower-level stuff than that, but you'd be pretty stupid to do so. The prices for the level 90 gems are exactly the same as the ones for the old level 80 gems, which are now gone from the Item Shop.

tl;dr:

Why is this a problem? Use the grey matter that's in your skull. :dash:

plussing a lvl 65 item should cost less than plussing a lvl 82 item, is all the argument is...and i agree...

same goes for the people who want lower level ABLs...

there should be a jewel every 10 levels, and the price is 75% of the next tier jewel, while they keep the top tier jewels the same price every time they release a new one...

^ I agree with the above. The gold cost is scaled to the jewel if you buy them for gold from the reg. vendors...why aren't the item shop ones? Sometimes you want to + up a level 50-60 gear to +6 to get the added bonus. If you find a really good piece of gear and don't feel like switching. Heck, most of my level 67 gear was still somewhat viable at level 75-80. I just recently started regearing out of my 67 gear and that stuff carried me all the way to 80.

Okay with me as long as they extend the size of the item shop bag by, let's say, three additional pages. Otherwise no thanks, I'd hate the choice between throwing multiple flavors of unused jewels away or paying loads of diamonds for the chests and house rent required to store them.

Just get rid of those jewels altogether, introduce an "upgrade" currency instead you have to buy for diamonds, stored similar to shells and proofs. Lower level gear costs less to upgrade than higher level gear, cost also rises with upgrade level (so going from +11 to +12 is more expensive than going from +1 to +2). Remove the fail rate.

Nah, reached the limit long ago. I know, I should be throwing away things I'm unlikely to use, it just hurts so much after having paid real money for those things. Just look at the jewels, an unreliable one for +6, a reliable one for +6, an unreliable one for +12, a reliable one for +12, an unreliable one for +16, a reliable for for +16, multiply by three for weapon/armor/jewelry, that's already 18 slots. Multiply again by 5 for the 50/60/70/80/90 tiers, that's 90 occupied slots, almost the entire IS bank. Good thing the drillers are not level restricted, that way they only fill up another 12 slots. Wish there were some way to upgrade old jewels to the new tiers, just to safe space...
