EoJ event counters

I've been planning to pick up on EoJ's again. But with channel 2-3 EoJ displays still broken (as far as I know), I'd have to sit idle while I wait for the CD when i finish the events on channel 1.

So, is there any method to make it display whether or not the event is currently going in channel 2-3 and how much time is left using an addon or a macro to extract it from the servers and display it, or any in game methods to find out? Thanks.

Are they not on a timer? I know I used to do them in channel 2 just based on my clock.

If you change channels, it will disappear.

It would be cool to find a macro to hide/unhide the timer.

The events are a full 20min -- 18min to complete and 2min cooldown in between rounds. This applies to ALL 3 channels (they start at roughly the same time). Unless you finish channel 1 in 30s, ch2 will have already started by the time you get there -- looking at your clock will give you an indication of when the events start (iirc they start at X:10, X:30,X:50 every hour, so each channel ENDS 2min prior to that). Indigo EoJ farmers typically do all 3 channel in chrysalia when farming.

But how would I know that the event is still going on channel 2 and 3? If I do it on channel 1, how do I know that someone wasn't doing the other channels while I was on channel 1? I think thats the main question that needs answering.

If I was to do EoJ's on multiple channels I would start on Channel 2 at the appropriate time, finish then move to channel 1 where I could see whether or not it was still viable, if so, finish there....if still time left, shift to channel 3 where I would have no clue, but continue nonetheless as there would probably not much time left regardless...

All of these responses are good. Starting on channel 2, then going to 1 is good and just straight up doing 2 is an option too. I don't remember a time when I was farming on 1 and switched to 2 after it finished (if somone was even farming on ch2 to begin with).

There IS a sure way to know if the round is still going or not. Talk to the EoJ vendor. If he does not have the option "See who contributed", or something like that, the round is still going. I guess you can put an alt there or something. Or even put an alt on the second channel just to see if he round actually ended early.

What needs to be done, is fix the issue with the timers disappearing in the first place. I don't know if it happens for others, but the event timers in DDC and Silverspring NEVER go away for me during the events. The devs should look at/use those timers for the EOJ events. There is no reason why the EOJ timers should disappear as often as they do.

Disappear? They are never there for me at all, only on channel 1 do I see a counter (terminology here, counter not timer is what I am talking about). Never have I ever seen a "timer" other than the countdown to start timer; which since you get a message scroll that the event has started, seems not so important. The message scroll for event start does appear on all channels, but unless I am in channel 1, I have no idea what the progress is toward finish, no way to estimate if event will complete (6000) other than to shoot for all 6000 myself and watch for the message scroll that event has finished.

The timer (counter) I'm talking about is the (x/6000) one. I can get it it appear occasionally, but more often than not it will disappear on me. The timer between events does the same thing. The only channel it ever shows up for me is in channel 1, 2 and 3, never.

We are basically talking and qq'ing about the same thing though. It needs to be fixed so it shows on all channels and doesn't disappear.

u can also have alts on the different chs and check their screens to c if the event has ended or not as the start and end of the event is still announced on the other chs even though the timers are not available

If you are on channel 1 and cannot see the timer, move to a different area of the map -- when you see white text denoting your location, your timer/counter will also appear. As already stated, there are no timers/counters for ch2 and ch3. There is at most a 2minute delay between the three channels, so unless you're completing 6000 points in less then 2min, you're sure to know that ch2 and ch3 events have at least started.

As for the "how do we know ch2 or ch3 are done since there's no counter" why not get all players doing ejs in the zone on the same channels? 4th place x3 = 60~ EoJ, almost twice that of getting first place once. I know this doesn't solve the issue completely but it can help. I know on indigo we get groups of 3-6 players doing EoJs, and we do all 3 channels in chrysalia in order so everyone gets eojs from all 3 channels.
