Its hit or miss. Yes you can get good stats from normal and I find it is better than Bedim. However when you looking for that "one last stat" it never seems to drop. I'm a magic dps so I farm easy instead of normal most of the time for the int/mattck on 2nd/4th boss.

I run easy more than normal because it requires less people. On easy mode 2nd and 4th bosses have a small chance of dropping. The key here is that you have a 20% chance of an int/mattck on the mage item from these 2 bosses. So if the wrong item drops you have 0% chance but you could always end up with a stam/def or something else that sells. On normal mode the stat pool is much larger I have listed below the number of stats that can drop from a Mage item. The only up side is that you only need a PFS and more bosses can drop a mage item. Knowing this I recommend you just farm easy and spend the extra 20 dia on the random. The amount of runs it takes you will be 100% random. Sometimes i get it in 1-2 runs. I ran 13 times yesterday and nothing dropped except 3 stam/def which the priest was happy to take.

Edit: I just noticed that boss 3 also can drop an int/mattck on easy so that is 3 out of 4 bosses that can if you dont want to play jump baby jump.
The stat pool on easy is much more friendly but only if a mage item drops

/\ that is what I do, I farm Beth easy for int/magical, stam/magical, and magical/hp stats.. and the one that drops the most I don't need as much lol.

I have farmed Beth Normal so many times I have lost track. Let us say its 50 times, which I am sure I have farmed more. Out of those 50 times I have gotten 1 int/ma off first boss. 2-3 stam/hps off last boss, 1 dex/pa, 1 str/pa, countless numbers of pa/hp, and countless numbers of useless stats.

I'm wondering myself why I still want to farm it, I guess for "fun"? lol idk.

But yeah, the rate is horrendous.

There's mostly likely 3 motivations behind the preference you observerd.

1) Beth normal is somewhat easier and doesn't require as many players as beth hard mode (for those guilds/groups unable to run hard mode). Similiarly, it may be that certain players won't want to run Hard Mode instances with unfamiliar players, where as they want mist stats and will run normal with players they aren't so confident about

2) you can obtain most desirable stats from hard mode on normal mode (stam/hp, int/matk, dex/pa, stam/pa, patk/hp, etc.) you can ONLY get stam/def and hp/def from easy or normal modes.

3) somewhat related to above, compared to easy mode, stats dropped in normal are "clean" -- they don't come with some crappy XI stat you need to random extract.

A possible 4th, though I think it is not likely, is the mem rate. A strong group of dps should be able to run through normal mode quite quickly yielding more mems, and possibly useful stats, compare to other places to go.

Also, the gear in there is actually pretty good. If my memory serves me, the gear is better than KBN hard (of course no damage bonus though). Another reason to farm it.

I believe int/stam does drop in normal. It drops in hard.


As far as Beth Hard, imo dex/pa and stam/hp drops so much lol. I'm not complaining, just getting a str/pa drop just seems so rare. And the orange drop rate is actually pretty good.

We ran Beth HM last night 2x I saw 3 stam/pattcks drop Shay on different bosses and no dex/pattcks. Funny how loot works.

If you just need the stat and don't care about using a random I still think easy mode is faster. But if you are running with physical dps they will want normal.

int/ma , stam/ma, hp/ma, int/hp all the goody mage stats that i have drop from 3 of the first 4 bosses in easy mode, never got a int/stam so guess they don't drop in easy more or just my luck

only thing is that zzzz... you need a random attribute extractor which cost 39 dias, then if you fail to get your stat have to spend another 19 dias , kinda expensive when you need multiple stats, but its easy to solo.

Correct Int/Stam does not drop from easy mode. This is not a big problem since most mages now stat 4 int/mattck and 2 int/stam. You can just use the shell pulls for the int/stam or an orange staff if you land some POM.

FYI- If you cannot get one to drop in easy or norm. An int/mattck can also be crafted on Lv 80 weapon gear. This will also require a random extractor but it is very painless. I believe the crafted item has a much better chance of landing an int/mattck. Our guild weapon crafter is able to make these quite frequently. Same with Capital stats on LV 82 weapons however the mats for that one are much harder to come by so those tend to be more expensive.
