Since the crafting materials GG gives depends on the highest level character in them, you should be able to take in a lower level character to get the lower level crafting materials. I don't know how tough GG is with the lower level characters since the change, but if you have the right level of character who can finish, getting the right level of crafting materials should be guaranteed. Another way of getting some is through guild quests, but that's a total crapshoot.

GG mobs no longer drop any kind of loot.

The chests at the end drop level sensitive crafting materials with the change. Which is what the OP was asking about and why I said if you can finish it at the appropriate level which I have not tried with lower level characters nor can I say for a fact they drop the appropriate crafting levels for say a level 50 toon. The crafting materials do advance up levels as your character advances in the higher levels.

Not the mobs...the chests at the end give one mat each

you also get random mats from the Lydia's house game, I have gotten some lower level mats from that.

Gobs at lower level, I have seen those on the character that I used to farm for my steel nail... might still have a few.


And SUPPOSEDLY they drop off of boss mobs. Like how RT mobs drop crafting mats, DoD dropped wolfram nail, etc. I would say try KS/TT/hos/origin/MA.. maybe, I cant say for sure on any of those or that I have ever seen one. All I can say is that boss mobs in other instances did drop (eventually) crafting mats for the level items they made. So KS probably be the easiest bet.


I can also check to see if I have some, also know a guy in game who I have bought rare mats from a few times... unless you are him

And, Malatina's Dungeon sometimes gives crafting mats.
