I am not a big crafter but I think the lvl 60 crafting NPC's are in Dalanis

Craft NPCs can raise it above 60, although I have heard one guildie who had problems with that.
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

No prob!

The event NPCS CAN raise the skill level for crafts but I had issues with an alt and the npc not working too

Can just go get the recipes too from the normal crafting npcs :D

You can take 1 gathering skill (woodcutting, herbalism, mining) and 1 production skill (blacksmith, carpentry, armourcrafting, tailoring, cooking, alchemy) to level 100 (legend). However, based on my experience, if you already have any skill above level 60, the event NPC will not raise another skill above 60. You still can do it, but it must be done manually talking to crafting NPC.

PS. I already had 100 woodcutting and it wouldn't raise my blacksmith above 60 until I talked to the blacksmith NPC in Dalanis.

this is caused because the event npc are designed with the old system. And by "old" i mean before the paths for gathering and production get independent.

So atm, if u have a master (not necessarily legend) gather, the event npc cant qualify u for a master production skill cause assumes that u have reached the (old) cap of 1 master (universally). however if u get to the appropriate master instructor u can get it to master/legend normally.

U can verify these by checking the texts on the event npc where the old rules r written. cheers

Easier to just assume that the NPC's for the event are in BETA

I currently have all 3 gathering skills at 60, but can't seem to level my tailoring above 40 (expert) at all. I tried the event NPC, the NPC in Varanas, the one in Heffner camp, tried looking for expert NPCs in OS but they only have novice and legend instructors. Any tips?

Generally the level 40 NPCs are in Obsidian Stronghold but the Expert Tailor Instructor is Rachel Taylor in Lower City East Varanas. She's hiding somewhere around 47.6/21.6 . If after talking to her, you're still having problems it might be because of the "new" crafting system. Prior to patch 6.0.0 crafting did not differentiate between gathering or production skills. It might be possible that you having all 3 gathering skills at 60, when under new system you're only allowed to have one, might be complicating things for you. I would advise to talk to Rachel Taylor and see how things go.

the craft npcs will not raise u above 60 since as stated before they havent done anything with it since it started 4 years ago. Which is also why cooking is still broke for the craft fair.
