Dragon Zodiac pets

can someone please tell me do I lose the 12 newborn zodiac pets I made from my backpack to get the newborn dragon? also will I lost the 12 adults for the adult dragon and same for the legendary? please answer me as I only need 1 more newborn pet and really not sure I want the dragons if I have to start all over. Thank You!

Choose your buff carefully: the newborn dragon has the same +20% as any other newborn, but the adult and legendary have buffs that are stronger...
