Quest Watered with Love not working?

In the Jungle of Hortek the quest in the Tapatapa Gorge ( the Xabu Village), I cannot get the ripe pumpkins.The water cans are sparkling and if I click on them I get the short buff of "Best irrigation time" and water energy runes but nothing happens when I click on the pumpkins. Am I missing something?

My memory is hazy, but seems to me you do an action before picking. Do you get a special action or are the water runes clickable before you try picking?

Thank you. I see now that you do get a special action icon and this allowed me to get the ripe pumpkins.
