Hi. I'm an old Runes of Magic player. I quit a few years ago due to living issues, and not exactly having a computer to play. Since then, I've played some games, one I currently play is Rift. I've been wanting to come back to this game for a long time now, remembering some pretty amazing friends I had, which more than likely don't play anymore. I was wondering if there were any huge changes, class changes, or updated systems for the classes? I know for Rift, they keep changing classes around some with every new update, and I'm sure I've missed several updates in the 3 something odd year's I havent played. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'd love to get up to date with this game, because I remember it being pretty darn great haha. Thank you!!!!!!!!

If you are seriously thinking of coming back after a 3+ year absence and still have your old client installation, I would strongly recommend deleting it and reinstalling the currently latest game files. The best way to do this is to go here:

Manual Downloads for the 6.0.6 RoM Client

Read the starter post and follow the instructions on dowloading ALL of the necessary installation files. Be aware that after installing the game there will be a huge number of other updates that will need to download and install when the client is run for the first time. Also remember that the client's region will default to the EU. Change this by clicking on the client's Region/Language button and by selecting USA/English.

It finally finished installing and everything, now I can't log on to my account. One, because I don't remember it, hehe...

Two, I have no idea how to log in with a new one simply just to play. I've been looking forward to playing all of yesterday and today and now this is happening..

Can I ask what server you use to play on and around what time you left? Level cap and such?

If you dont remember it I believe as long as you remember the username the Staff can help you log into your old account. or evenmaybe the toon name.. email.. anything to help.

IF not I suggest making a whole new account. When you make this new account you should then be able to log into it. I believe you make new accounts on the forums. Could be wrong.

He managed to remember his account name and primary password. His client was still set to EU from download, so he fixed that, then after getting his secondary password wrong, he reset it via online and is now back on Govinda. As stated before, we fixed it for him (helped, really) in IRC.
