IRC down...?

I know the servers are down because of some sneaky hacker, but should the IRC chan also be down? I was going to wait in there to hear word of servers being back up, but not working. =)

"We found out that somebody used a weakness in the game client to perform changes on the database."

They put up an announcement about it. Sounds like a sneaky hacker to me, I was paraphrasing.

I've been trying to connect to IRC using the Java client, and it hasn't worked. Suppose if it's possible to use mIRC or something to connect I could try that...

I read the New & Announcements shortly after I posted. Whoops, sorry. Unfortunately I am too lazy to download an irc client but I am sure you found the root of the problem by now.

Don't gotta download one

I use Irccloud (you can Google it) primarily and only rarely have some weird things happen to my connection. You just have to create an account, and it's a Web client as well as a phone client for android (not sure about the other OS's). Since they are connected wroth the same account, you can use irc on both your phone and on the computer.

All i did was click IRC Chat button on the bar up there ^ o.o don't need to download anything or go anywhere else, click that button type in a username and enter the chat...
