For a time diamonds could be sold on AH; however, they can no longer be sold through there.

Nope, you can't buy or sell diamonds on AH anymore. I can't tell you when it happened, but it has been a while. Only thing you can do is buy/sell from another player. They were taken out because of many reasons, one of them being that gold spammers were selling the diamonds to make more gold and then selling the gold....well, you get the idea.

You can gift diamonds to other players if they whisper you after saying wts dias or they say wtb dias. They send gold for the dias you spent to get them their item. They removed dias either during 80 cap or 82 cap, but I remember there being dias in AH during 80 cap.

Not sure what server is the one in question, but we are going to be merged soon into two, likely similarly populated, servers.

Selling blanks is viable way to see dias, but the best way is when there is good sale. High demand = easy sale..

You won't need to start all over. All servers will be merged into either artemis or govinda, so you should probably just keep your diamonds and wait a bit.

That's pretty specific. Where did you get that information from? Is there a reason believe/suggest that the server merge will hike diamond prices up? If anything, I would think it would bring a new life to the game, more players, more people wanting to upgrade their gear, thus more people buying diamonds, more diamond supply, price goes down... or would it perhaps be the other way around..? Everyone starts buying diamonds and the diamond supply goes dry sending the price up.

He's saying that it's better to wait for the server merge to sell dias because there will be a larger sale market. You can shout and shout all you want, but it won't do you any good if there's no one to bite.

Merge?? LMAO!!! as per the last bit of info you better not hope to get it till 2016. Good for Gameforge since a lot people will be gone and less accounts to take care for.

For the diamond part, blame the dupers and hackers for not having it anymore, and why we can't have nice things.

Yes there will be a merge into Govinda and Artemis this Autumn (So before 2016 Zid). On Govinda diamonds sell for 100k per and on Art (If I am remembering correctly) they sell for anywhere between 130 to 150k per.

diamonds on artemis have lately been 100k-115k but i also havent played in about 2 weeks.

Maybe I misread or misunderstood the post, but I don't think the server merges will be done before 2016. From my understanding, they intended to change the way diamonds are bought/used so that diamonds charged to your account could be used on that account regardless of server. This will take them till Autumn/Fall of this year to figure it out. After this is done, is when they will continue to work on server merges. In other words, Zid is correct ; Autumn is not when the server merges will happen but when they will start working on them.

Zid is right. At first they told us that the server merge would be early-mid 2015. The diamond thing (cause I'm f2p so I don't pay attention to detail on these things) they had the announcement for will supposedly be implemented in Autumn. I'm expected February or March of 2016.. Maybe.. If we're lucky.. All the players that came back for the merge have already quit again anyways...
P.S. Diamonds on Artemis are 95-100k too.

Gameforge are way too busy with all their other games, promos, giveaways etc, they couldn't care less for ROM. Heck we don't even have a sale manager for our item shop, rinse and repeat sales, merge news with only delays and excuses, no promos, no ads. What do we care for their diamonds post? pointless if no one is left, altought would be nice to have someone with integrity and respect for the community to tell us that by then they will just shut the game down.

I won't be buying any diamonds from Gameforge for now ( yes i hope it hurts them where it counts ). No point since we have no direction about the game, just more useless information and lack of communication. Why upgrade gear? just to be frustrated by the plussing jewel failure rate? they can't even put all the jewels in ( trying to create crack addicts attitude for diamonds), not enough player on for us to actually enjoy runs, new instance broken but endgamer can do hardmode, shows how Gameforge cares about 5% of the community ;-( . Why have they opened it at all? just stupid

After years of being positive, hoping for better, hoping that change will come, guess i was too optimistic for my own good. Not talking about our GM team, but the real Gameforge employees in Germany : You handle this game like the world economy, just to let you know, it all went to crap in a basket too. Might be time to learn simple economics instead and make the game viable again. This is a game afterall and you are not even able to keep control of less than 20 servers, sadly.

On topic (I guess) it'd be great to see Diamonds in the AH again, might bring up some issues with the community but hey, I liked it when it was in game

But in response to Zid as well however, he's right about RoM, sadly I wish this game were out there more than it currently is, but right now it's currently seeming to not have that much popularity for much of the "mmo" aspect to even feel like it actually exists in the first place. The enchanting system is quite flawed, or I should just say incredibly frustrating to say the least, but these are end game problems but could possibly be low/mid game problems as well when leveling up, some people may try out the enchanting system at a early stage, think that it's annoying or something along those lines and then leave the game from doing so or just be left with a bad impression on what the game will look like later.

Game needs working on, advertize, optimize, seriously a game like this crashing is big no no, especially when you get punished for having it crash, in siege you get a debuff if you crash or log out etc, and then you also got minigames that still absorb your tokens even if you failed when you crash, and not have dang enchant jewels fail please for the love of moo.

I believe the diamonds are going to be used as crafting items in a future update according to several players I met in Varanas. Or is that just a rumour?

The original posts of the server merge were back in 2014 and put the server merge to be complete by mid 2015 there were very specific posts by management in the forums it should have happened already. There were updates in the forums until about March 2015 stating this then suddenly everything stopped and it has been very quiet other than player speculations in the forums. They may have just given up on the merge. There has been no official word for a couple of months. They may have just written off the merge and are unwilling to pay its cost and are just going to let the game die.
The merge is only in rumors since all official communications have ceased.
