Runes of Magic US / AU

Hello Countduke and RoM people,
I don't understand why I bother to look at the Runes of Magic forums anymore when ninety percent of all the posts are either bashing the game or asking questions such as, When will the server merge happen? I can't idly standby as I watch the posters on the forum continue to beat the life out of the game. If anyone truly believes that if they complain and trash talk the game enough it will have a positive effect on the game and the community then you are mistaken. Unfortunately, the majority of people who post on these forums influence the players that are still happy with the game enough to make them unhappy. The demise of the game starts here on the forums. If I am a new player or returning player and am interested in starting Runes of Magic, I may check the forums to see whether it is worth my time or not. All I would find are posts such as the </3 one in the offtopic section that was recently closed of existing players complaining of how the game is falling apart.. Well let me tell you something that I have seen from my own experience. This past year we have had more GM activity then I have seen in the past 3 years. Additionally, I am lucky enough to run endgame hardmode instances nightly with my guild. Lastly and most importantly, I have been playing the game with most of the same people for the entirety of my RoM career. All of which are great people who truly care about the game like I do. I am happy and content with the game as is..obviously I want the merge to happen just as much as anyone else, however repeatedly making posts such as this one will not make it happen any faster. The point I am trying to make is.. The forum posters influence the players more then they realize and contribute to its decline. Please take into account before you post here that what you say has an effect on the reader whether its positive or negative. Thank you for your time in reading this post.

Tl;dr: Stop bashing other players, the game and gameforge and making post after post to try to hurry things up that can't be hurried along by the players.

Please do not bash the players who are just trying to get answers to questions they need to know. If there was any other way to get answers for people who want to spend a large amount of real world money to purchase items for the game these threads would not be necessary. The almost total lack of communications and updates means the only way people can even have the slightest hope of finding answers is on the forums. The people post because they love the game and want to keep it going however because no one tells them what is going on they are holding on to their money. This is the only way to even have a hope of people reaching into their pockets to spend their money on the game.

I wrote a tl;dr for the other guy's post.

They said that they are making the diamonds universal on accounts before they merge. And that that development would most likely occur in the fall. So, merge has to be after the diamond change. How far after? I got no clue.

Perhaps the main thing at this point is to wait, that's all we can do really, other than that I hope it to be a stable release instead of a rushed one that is buggy.

Well, there is always gnashing of teeth, holding of breath and general lamentations. Those help to pass time.

Bottom line, this thread and response by Azathor still holds true: Future server merge plans

There is a LOT of testing to be done with this sort of feature, which will be a huge convenience for players, GM's, Community Manager, and the folks in Germany manning the billing desk. The original systems to support the diamonds was not built with this sort of feature, and I don't think the actual game was built for it, either. Therefore, writing of some new systems will need to be done.

From what I've seen and heard about the new system, it is a godsend for everyone involved, so we ask for continued patience. The merge will still happen, just needs a bit more time to get right. Which would you rather have...a rushed merge with broken characters or a merge that is carefully planned and executed and went as smoothly, if not more smooth than the AU -> Arti merge?
